My latest series of sculpture represents a transition to
more personal level of work. While not at all comfortable with the concept of
self-referential art, I found it impossible to keep myself out of this most
recent series. This work deals with the journeys we take through life, of how
each day builds on the next inexorably leading to the place where our journey ends
and all our experiences drain from these vessels of flesh and bone. Some of our
experiences become burdens, some we carry sweetly, some become signposts that we
let guide us through the future. In the end however, our experiences die with
us and we leave behind these artifacts of life for others to interpret. | | |
